Ramadan Begins – Taraweeh & Community Iftar

Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting. Throughout the month we hold nightly Taraweeh prayers and community iftars.

Through the Month

• Community iftar — shared meals at sunset, open to everyone
• Taraweeh — nightly congregational prayers
• Quran study — sessions working through the meaning of what is recited
• Laylat al-Qadr — extended worship in the last ten nights

Everyone Is Welcome

Our iftars are open to all, and there is no charge. If you are alone in Manchester, new to the city, or would simply rather not break your fast by yourself, please come. You do not need to know anyone.

Helping Out

Iftars need volunteers for cooking, setting up and clearing away, and donations toward food are always needed. If you can help with either, we would be glad to hear from you.
