Our Vision for the Muslim Community in Manchester

BKM Community Group exists to make Islamic learning and practical help available to anyone in Manchester who needs them — without cost being the reason someone goes without.

That shapes what we do. Our Arabic, Urdu and Quran classes are free. Our Urdu tuition for children is free. When a family is struggling, we help quietly, without asking anyone to explain themselves in public.

Rooted in the Qadri tradition, we hold gatherings through the year — Milad, Naat and Giyarhwin Sharif — and open them to everyone, whether you have attended all your life or are coming through the door for the first time.

Free Arabic & Urdu classes — Wednesdays 6–8pm, Sundays 12–2pm
Quran and Tajweed for adults and children, including sisters’ classes
Free tuition for children, plus university and college admissions guidance
Support for families facing hardship, bereavement or isolation

Support Our Work

Our classes are free and our support for families in hardship is funded entirely by the community. We arrange donations directly rather than through this website, so you always know where your contribution goes. BKM Community Group is a community organisation and is not currently registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, so donations are not eligible for Gift Aid — more on how we are constituted and funded.
